Kaila this is a well thought out image that matches your description , with all the mixtures of all composition, animation, and fantasy of this young girl that captures the eye and has great impact. excellent Portrait !!
Kaila , your portrait has a magical touch to it and displays the young free spirit of your subject. like a fantasy as you intended. It is always a pleasure to see a photographs image in there mind and what they are trying to display come to life with ones original intent.
compositionally Kaila, five very great uses on composition being used here, one is the rock wall if I may use and the rivers edges giving diagonal lines and curves to bring your eye to the subject. second motion ! the stance she is using and direction gives beautiful use of animation "motion" to the portrait. third the rays of the sun are also pointing in the direction of her as moving her along the rock wall. forth the concave line of the trees fall in the center and use those lines to bring your eye to your subject. fifth is the slope of the mounds to her right sloping towards her drawing the eyes again towards her body. It would be a suggestion perhaps to try and place her more to the left if possible , this leaves room for the direction she is moving or potentially moving to. contrast is a little weak and could be adjusted to gain density with out loss to the over all image.
Use of camera,
lens choice and focal length are well used in my view , iso 200 and shutter speed as well. where I might suggest is to use on a back light situation the use of spot metering , this is another way to gain the proper density of your subject matter.
depth of field is well displayed by the distance in the foreground to the background, and just to add here now I see this, it seems she could have been dancing from the cabin in the distance to where she is at present .
color is fine to a degree, however Kaila the density could be stronger and without any loss to the impact and over all quality and in fact will improve the impact. I have taken the liberty to bring up you image in my photoshop and by adding density through adjustments exposure made it more dense . this adds richer color and helps reduce the hot spots along the rocks including richening the suns rays.
even at f 6.7 and using multi segment focusing metering , the subject is sharp, distance helps here as you have accomplished.
I was trying to convey a sense of whimsey and a bit of fantasy.

How to improve your photo
try and see if it is at all possible to move to the right with camera to have her more to the left room to move.
turn your image upside down this is a sure fire way to see the hot spots and make corrections where necessary. ie rock wall and pathway on the left upper in image.
when you have you image up in photoshop or lightroom make a few copies with more density and with corrections ,and you then will have and see how they can improve your overall impact.
