I am a San Diego commercial photographer specializing in corporate and event photography as well as advertising, products, fashion and glamour, and aviation & transportation industry images. I also periodically shoot headshots and model portfolio work for models and actors. I served as President of ASMP's San Diego chapter and currently sit on the Board of Directors. I am also a member of PPA. I have been training portrait and event photographers since 2004, for a national franchise company, UCSD, and Panasonic's Digital Photo Academy. On critiques, please note that I don't give "easy 10s" to make people feel good - I give specific points on how to make images "picture perfect."

Hi Bailey, I think you tried to do too much with this image. Your soft focus vs alternative processing are contradictory, and the dreamy or wistful look of the subjec...

Overall a nice shot, but still has a "snapshot" feel. With some fine-tuning this will be a powerful portrait. Focus (no pun intended) on the details to perfect this i...

I would give this a 9.5, but I'm only allowed whole numbers. Great capture though, and reminds me of my Kodak when he was a kitten. Have fun, and keep shooting - you'...
